Jahnavi Goldstein has been a practicing licensed attorney since 2006, with extensive experience in both Federal and California State Law. She heads up the firm’s Nashville, Tennessee branch and focuses on white collar criminal defense and complex civil litigation, representing clients in matters relating to mail, wire, securities, and tax fraud, the Foreign Corrupt Practice Act, the False Claims Act, healthcare fraud, consumer lending, and Securities and Exchange Commission and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau regulatory enforcements.
Ms. Goldstein handles all aspects of high profile white-collar criminal defense and regulatory enforcement matters, including pre-indictment/enforcement action investigations, proffer sessions, legal research and analysis, factual research, extensive law and motion practice, plea bargaining and settlement discussions, discovery processes, trial preparation, and sentencing. She has obtained non-prosecution or extremely favorable plea bargains and sentencing outcomes for many of her clients.
On the civil side Ms. Goldstein represents clients in matters relating to complex business disputes, fraud and fraudulent conveyances, and insurance law; and she has briefed and argued a civil appeal relating to insurance bad faith matters before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Ms. Goldstein graduated with honors from the University of Miami’s School of Communication with dual majors in Advertising Communication and English Literature and a minor in Marketing. Ms. Goldstein went on to obtain her law degree from Loyola Law School where she served as staff on the International and Comparative Law Review. Ms. Goldstein is licensed in the states of California and Tennessee, and in the United States District Courts for the Central and Southern Districts of California, and the Middle and Eastern Districts of Tennessee, as well as in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Ms. Goldstein served as a second chair member of the CJA Panel for the Middle District of Tennessee and obtained a Not Guilty verdict for her client in a drug conspiracy trial. She is a member of the Women’s White Collar Defense Association and numerous bar associations. Ms. Goldstein is a volunteer attorney for the Animal Legal Defense Fund and also enjoys serving as a judge for Vanderbilt Law School’s Mock Trial program. She looks forward to expanding the firm’s presence and federal practice within Tennessee and the Southeastern region.
